(*) Cathodic protection refers to a corrosion control method where a metal surface is made the cathode of an electrochemical cell. In thermal spray applications, this is typically achieved by applying a zinc or zinc-aluminum alloy coating onto a steel substrate. These sacrificial metal coatings corrode preferentially, protecting the underlying steel from oxidation. It’s especially effective in harsh environments like offshore platforms or chemical processing plants, where traditional paint systems may degrade quickly

Flux cored wires
| Description | |
| Flux cored wires are applied to enhance surface hardness and provide exceptional resistance to wear, abrasion, and erosion in high-stress industrial environments. Tungsten carbide, known for its extreme hardness, is ideal for components exposed to repeated mechanical contact or particle impingement—such as pump sleeves, impellers, and fan blades. Chromium carbide offers excellent resistance to oxidative wear and high-temperature erosion, making it suitable for applications involving thermal cycling and corrosive gases. These coatings significantly extend service life, reduce unplanned maintenance, and help maintain operational efficiency under the most demanding operating conditions |
